Rawlings Sporting Goods/Jarden Corporation
During her 9 year tenure overseeing numerous brands in the Jarden Team Sports division, Lisa's responsibilities have included brand and sports marketing, corporate communications, strategic planning, sponsored athlete management and contract negotiation, product cosmetic design, copywriting, PR, and budget management.
Utilizing the platform provided by a position in the sporting goods industry, Lisa successfully introduced a causal marketing strategy to prove the positive impact of participation in sports in the recovery and rehabilitation process. A statement made by a veteran recovering from life altering injuries sustained in the line of duty conveyed the magnitude of this impact, and resulted in the aggressive expansion of causal marketing initiatives. The Heroes Foundation was then established to serve as an overarching organization to assess and qualify partner 501C3 organizations who provide critical assistance to those who have dedicated their lives to the service, protection, and freedom of others.
Physical rehabilitation, psychological recovery from trauma and reduction in the symptoms of PTSD, and socialization to provide a sense of unity all play an integral role in re-entry to society. Financial assistance for housing, accommodations for family members during hospitalization, funding for prosthetics and service dogs are among the programs to receive funding through the efforts of the organization. The defining mission of the Heroes Foundation is to ensure that all monies raised through endeavors provide direct assistance to those in need.
